Homeless man is brutally beaten outside convenience store - Mexico

Last Friday, July 26, around 6:00 p.m., a violent attack was recorded against a homeless man who worked as a “door opener” in a convenience store located on Ávila Camacho Boulevard, in the central area of the port of Veracruz .The events were recorded on video by passers-by who were at the scene.Three men with motorcycle helmets and covered faces hit the man with punches, kicks and a metal retractable tube, while the attacked man tried to protect a woman who was also homeless with his body.In the video you can see how the attackers separate the woman and continue beating the man and then flee on motorcycles to an unknown destination.Those present requested the intervention of the authorities and emergency services upon seeing the severity of the man’s injuries.Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene, followed by naval and municipal police, who provided care to the victim, who had serious injuries to his face and body.To date, the health status of the attacked man and the woman who accompanied him are unknown; local authorities continue the investigation to find the attackers and clarify the reasons for the attack.
